Aljoša Potokar was born in 2004 in Ljubljana. He is an undergraduate student at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, where he studies painting, and a graduate of the Secondary School for Design and Photography in Ljubljana. During his studies, he participated in exchange programs at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin and the Minerva Academy in Groningen. His work has been exhibited in Slovenia and abroad.

His artistic practice is rooted in the observation of nature, which serves as a primary source of inspiration. Working across a range of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, printmaking, photography, film, ceramics, and origami, he explores the relationship between humans and nature. His work is critical of the anthropocentric perspectives and reflects on the impact of human activity on the environment.
